Tracadie, New Brunswick (NB) – October 20, 2025 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) announces a revised Gulf New Brunswick (GNB) Bluefin tuna fleet Conservation and Harvesting Plan (CHP) for the 2025 fishing season.
The final Bluefin tuna allocation for 2025 is 45.286 metric tons (mt). This consists of the 2025 Bluefin tuna allocation for the GNB fleet of 38.651 mt, to which are added the uncaught quota of 2024 of 1.256 mt, an additional carry forward of 0.693 mt and the share of the allocation received by transfer from Mexico of 4.686 mt.
