Moncton, New Brunswick (NB) – October 1, 2025 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) announces the closure of the herring fall fishery for Group A (New Brunswick harvesters) of Herring Fishing Areas 16C and 16E. The closure will take effect on October 1 at 19:00 Atlantic Daily Time. The allocation for Group A has been nearly reached.
