Reopening of recreational angling to normal hours on the Nepisiguit River
Moncton, New Brunswick – August 14, 2026 - Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) wishes to inform the public that recreational angling for all species of fish will reopen on the Nepisiguit River, following improvements of water conditions.
The reopening will be in effect as of 4:00 on August 14, 2026.
The lifting of restrictions is in line with the strategy implemented in collaboration with local partners to respond to warm water conditions.
