Recreational Fisheries Notice

Moncton, New Brunswick – August 12, 2026 - Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) wishes to inform the public that recreational angling for all species of fish will reopen to normal hours on the Upsalquitch River, following improvements in water conditions.

This reopening will be in effect at 4:00pm on August 12, 2026.

The lifting of restrictions is in line with the strategy implemented in collaboration with local partners to respond to warm waters conditions.
