Recreational Fisheries Notice

Antigonish, Nova Scotia - August 14, 2026 - Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) wishes to inform the public that recreational angling will reopen on the Margaree River, Nova Scotia

The reopening will be in effect at 4:00pm on August 14, 2026.

The lifting of restrictions is in line with the strategy implemented in collaboration with local partners to respond to warm water conditions.
