Tracadie, New Brunswick (NB) – April 29, 2026 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), Gulf Region, wishes to inform harvesters that due to adverse weather conditions, the lobster fishery in LFA 23, subarea 23B, is delayed and will not open on April 30th, 2026.
We will continue to monitor the weather conditions. Conference calls will be held between DFO and stakeholders to ensure a safe opening based on weather and safety conditions.
