Antigonish, Nova Scotia (NS) – July 11, 2023 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), Gulf Region, upon a review of the weather forecast, delays the scheduled opening of the Area 19 snow crab fishery.
The Area 19 snow crab fishery will now open at 05:00 hours July 13, 2023.
This opening date may be modified due to weather conditions or the presence of North Atlantic Right Whales (NARW).
