Moncton, New Brunswick (NB) – April 29, 2022 - Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) – Gulf Region wishes to advise harvesters that due to adverse weather conditions, the lobster fishery in LFA 23, 24, 26A and 26B south is delayed and will not open on Saturday, April 30, 2022 as stated in the Atlantic Fishery Regulations (1985).
For the safety of all involved, the season will be delayed until the weather improves. We will continue to monitor the conditions and more information will be made available in a subsequent Notice to Fish Harvesters to be released later.
