The Gulf Fisheries Centre

The Gulf Fisheries Centre, located in Moncton, is the DFO Gulf Region’s headquarters. About 250 employees work there, reprsenting all DFO branches in the Gulf Region.

The Gulf Fisheries Centre is home of the Mère Juliette Library, which houses a collection of some 20,000 books and reports, 100 subscriptions to various scientific journals, 10,000 microfiches and over a hundred videos, all accessible to the general public.

The Gulf Fisheries Centre has one of only two laboratories in Canada that specialize in shellfish health.
